GARDENER TRAINEESHIP

 

The Shire of Cunderdin is offering an exciting opportunity to kick start your gardening career! We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable individual to join our team.

 

Earn an income whilst receiving on the job training and completing your formal studies towards a nationally accredited qualification. This is a full- time, 12- 24-month (dependant on the qualification) traineeship opportunity for the right person. Traineeship wages and conditions apply.

 

The successful applicant will be working with the works crew and will gain experience in a range of landscaping and horticultural related tasks.

 

This is an entry level position and recent school leavers are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

The successful candidate will:

 Be self-motivated and driven to complete tasks

  • Possess basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a willingness to learn and gain new skills
  • Have problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2020 depending on age and level of schooling completed. Other conditions are a 38 hour week and 11.5% superannuation.
